The Tabaris Highlanders arrived in Port Stanley, The Falkland Islands, aboard the Lafonia escorted by a destroyer. Their role was to prepare defences in the islands if there was a German Raid. The small book includes unpublished pictures of their activities while there from 27th September 1939 to 8th December 1939 just days before the Battle of the River Plate.

Martin SIS and Colonel Reginald Russell CVO CBE DSO Military Attaché in Buenos Aires.
